When a seemingly unstoppable new enemy threatens the very existence of the Earth, Admiral Pavel Chekov (Walter Koenig) is forced to work outside the boundaries of Starfleet's rules to combat this deadly new foe. When planet after planet winks out of existence, yet Starfleet refuses to act, Chekov turns to Commander Tuvok (Tim Russ, who also directs), the new head of Starfleet's covert operations division, Section 31. Together, they assemble a new elite strike-force, consisting of rogues, outcasts and criminals, led by the fearless yet haunted Lexxa Singh (Adrienne Wilkinson). The Renegades' mission is simple: take on an army and stop their leader, Borrada (Bruce Young), from destroying the Earth. Outnumbered and out-gunned, the ragtag crew is in an adrenaline-pumping race against time and space. But they soon find their foes are the least of their concerns: the real trouble may be coming from within! Set a decade after the U.S.S Voyager's return to Earth, a rag-tag crew of renegades and outcasts must covertly work with Admiral Chekov and Tuvok to stop forces threatening the Federation from outside, and within. I enjoyed watching Star Trek Renegades and I hope that they make it into a series of that was the intention. The acting was OK with the exception of Chekov's granddaughter and Tim Russ (Tuvok) was impressive as always. All of the other actors were sufficient. The special effects were good enough for a pilot and there were even a few impressive moments. The premise was good and I enjoyed the mix of races from previous series (cardassians, bajorans, vulcans, etc.) and having a descendant of Khan. The twist at the end was set up well and made for a above average ending. One thing they could have done taken Chekov and the other cameo actors out of the film and it might have actually improved. None of those characters were very important to the plot and made it seem contrived. Also, as previously mentioned, the actress who played Chekov's granddaughter was subpar and completely unnecessary for the plot. This is a super bad film named Star Trek. The few actors from earlier shows gives you the level what you expect after Start Trek series and films. But the rest… Bad acting. Bad CGIs-means super bad, like made by a 5 years old. Bad photography, really bad camera sets. Bad story-telling and no character developing.

It's like made by The Asylum studio but it's not. (Who does not know that studio, they made all the Sharknado films.)

I was suffering during the whole film for the higher purpose to tell my honest opinion about it if I already decided to watch despite the signs. For all the real fans who really likes Star Trek universe, this is my last warning: AVOID AT ALL COST.
