Waking up after a magic ritual gone wrong that killed his apprentice, master thief Garrett finds his medieval City ravaged by a mysterious plague. With citizens chafing under the Baron's tyrannical rule, the City is ripe for revolution. Following a botched job that killed his apprentice, Garrett wakes up to find the City he thought he knew changed, and not for the better. The mysterious Gloom sickness plagues an already diseased and contentious population. Into this volatile mix appears a man claiming to have a cure for both the Gloom and the Baron's iron rule. Orion, voice of the people, hires Garrett to find a book he claims is the key to saving the City from the Gloom. Garrett soon finds that things are not as they appear and he's more wrapped up in events than he ever believed possible. I am really surprised to see the bad reviews of this game. I found it really pulled you in, made you feel like you were sneaking around the streets. I found the graphics and game play fantastic, remembering the how they were on the older versions.<br/><br/>the only thing i found disappointing about it, is the fact the decided to close the division and not make any expansions.<br/><br/>Perhaps the story line could have done with some work, but from what i took away, was the intention to expand on the story with sequels, which it seems we will unfortunately never see. in my opinion, it as a great game, people who have played the older games, must play this one. This is going to be a quick review because simply I want to forget about this game as quickly as possible. Yes it really is that bad!<br/><br/>I normally wouldn't leave such a bad review of something, I would try to find some positives and mentions those as well, but I can't find any positives.<br/><br/>A STEALTH GAME WITHOUT "ANY" STEALTH! Playing on master difficulty, with all in-game aids disabled, trying to make it extremely difficult so you absolutely "Have" to be a ninja-ghost to even be able to play, and the result…. You can casually walk past guards in full light, slap them around a bit, maybe have a coffee and a chat with them, then FINALLY they react to you being there. So you've been discovered, now you're dead right…. WRONG! Just crouch and move away just a meter or two and that's it, you become invisible and the guard stops searching for you after a few seconds. It's also very badly optimised as it was designed on the ancient PS3/360 hardware so it just feels so old, slow and full of load screens.<br/><br/>Complete and utter joke, a Stealth game with absolutely No stealth mechanic. Imagine a racing game like Gran Turismo or F1 where you can only walk around the tracks because there are no cars in the game.
